Iran Press/ Iran News: Delivering a speech at the exhibition of Iran's nuclear achievements, Behrouz Kamalvandi said thanks to the "Parliament's strategic law on lifting sanctions," AEOI was supposed to produce 120 kg of enriched uranium, and it went beyond that and yielded 210 kilograms.
"So far, we have produced 25 kg of 60%-enriched uranium, which no country is able to produce, except for countries with nuclear weapons," he said.
Achievements in radiation application, nuclear agriculture, industrial and medical centrifuges, diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals, laser medical prostate surgery, nuclear fuel cycle, heavy water production, and screening kits were among the items displayed in the exhibition held on the occasion of 13 Aban (November 4), the anniversary of Iranian students' capturing the US embassy in Tehran.
Elsewhere in response to the reporters on the sidelines of the expo, Kamalvandi said the enemies knew the industry was of high importance for the Islamic Republic of Iran's peaceful progress, but they were trying to deprive it of the technology while politicizing the nuclear issue.
"They have politicized the nuclear issue and accused us of seeking nuclear weapons, while they themselves possess nuclear weapons and have used them."
By its 'Little boy' and 'Fat man' nuclear bombs, the US killed about 220,000 Japanese people in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945.
Recently, the biennial resolution proposed by the Islamic Republic of Iran on nuclear disarmament was adopted with the support of a majority of UN member states.
In the resolution in question, Iran asks for security assurances so that the owners of the nuclear weapons do not use or threaten to use nuclear weapons against the non-nuclear countries.
The US, the Israeli regime, the European Union, and several of the predominantly Western allies of the US voted against the resolution.
