Iran Press/ Iran News: Sima Sadat Lari on Thursday, July 23, reported the latest data on the Coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the virus.
She said: "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to July 23 in the country, 2,621 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed and the number of patients with this disease reached 284,034."
"2,004 of the new patients, were hospitalized," Lari added.
The Spokeswoman said: "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 221 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, bringing the total number of deaths to 15,074."
"3,667 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition," she added.
"So far, 2,254,123 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," the Health Ministry spokeswoman said.
According to the spokeswoman, the provinces of Mazandaran, East and West Azerbaijan, Khorasan Razavi, Alborz, Khuzestan, Lorestan, Golestan, Kerman, Zanjan and Ilam are in a critical situation (red status).
"The provinces of Tehran, Isfahan, Bushehr, Hormozgan, Qazvin, Markazi, North and South Khorasan, Hamadan, Semnan, Sistan and Baluchestan, Ardabil, and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad are on alert," she concluded.
According to the latest statistics, the coronavirus pandemic has sickened more than 15,215,600 people. As of Thursday morning, at least 623,300 people have died, and the virus has been detected in nearly every country. 207/214
