Discussing bilateral issues, the latest developments in the region, and the situation in Gaza, the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council emphasized the necessity of expanding commercial and economic cooperation between Tehran and Baghdad and removing the existing obstacles.

Iran PressIran news: Iraq's First Deputy Speaker, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi met Ali Akbar Ahmadian, the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council on Dec.4, 2032.

Announcing the readiness of  Iran to comprehensively expand relations and meet Iraq's needs, especially in the field of advanced technologies, Iran's secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Akbar Ahmadian said: "We do not place any restrictions on expanding relations with our neighbors."

Ahmadian praised Iraq's clear and consistent stance in condemning the Zionist child-killing regime, as well as the resolution of the Iraqi parliament to expel the  US soldiers.

He said: The desire of the Iraqi nation to cut off the hands of foreigners from Iraq's financial and economic resources should be realized as soon as possible.

Also, for his part, Iraq's First Deputy Speaker Mohsen Al-Mandalawi pointed out the warm and long-standing relations between the two countries.

Mohsen Al-Mandalawi said: "The parliament and the government of Iraq will try to remove the commercial, financial and economic obstacles between the two countries while being fully prepared to further expand relations with Iran."

He said: "The capacity of Iraq and its parliament is a great opportunity to support the cause of the Palestinian nation due to the periodic presidency of the Iraqi parliament over the union of Arab states' parliaments."
