Iran Press/ Iran news: At least 53 civilians were killed in an attack in Syria's central desert province of Homs, state media reported on Friday, blaming ISIS for the incident.
Nasser Kanaani offered condolences to the government and people of the brotherly and friendly country of Syria. He wished divine mercy for those killed in the attack and patience for the bereaved families.
The Iranian diplomat once again underlined the need for effective international support for the Syrian government’s fight against the remnants of Daesh and other notorious terrorist cells.
Kanaani said the US government, as one of the creators and supporters of the Daesh terror group that is illegally present on Syrian soil, is an accomplice in the continued crimes of the group and the persistence of insecurity in Syria.
He stressed that the US regime’s policies and approaches indicate that the regime is continuing its double standards toward international issues including the fight against terrorism.
