Iran Press/Iran news: Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesman in a weekly press conference on Monday said that Tehran won't accept any claim on Iran's triple islands.
Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman, Nasser Kanaani Chafi stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran won't accept any claim on Iran's triple islands and no country has the right to comment on the issue as Iran's internal affairs.
On Sunday, Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdolahian reacting to the joint statement of China and the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) in Saudi Arabia and the claims over the Iranian triple islands of Abu Musa, Greater, and Lesser Tunbs, said that the Islamic Republic does not compromise over its territorial integrity.
On Monday, Nasser Kanani also said that Iran rejected the interventionist statements related to Iran's nuclear program, which ignored the country's commitment to the international nuclear deal or the so-called Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Iran condemns China-PGCC interventionist statement
Kanani on the China-PGCC statement called on the parties involved in the statement to avoid meddling in the domestic affairs of Iran and rejected UAE claims over the Iranian triple islands (Abu Musa, Great and Lesser Tunbs).
He stressed that Iran would reject such meddling comments regardless of who would express them.
About the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action called JCPOA, the spokesman said that Iran never leaves the negotiation and considers it as the exclusive way to lift anti-Iranian sanctions.
He reiterated the support for the neighbor-oriented foreign policy of Iran based on common interests and it would not allow anybody to comment on its territorial integrity.
Iran to impose new sanctions on EU, Britain
The Spokesman for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the imposition of new sanctions against the EU and Britain due to continued non-constructive behaviors.
The spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacting to the European Union's attempt to impose new sanctions against Iran, said: "Due to the continued non-constructive behaviors of the European Union, the Islamic Republic of Iran has taken preventive measures based on its legitimate right".
"We announce and apply a list of new sanctions against some institutions related to the European Union and personalities of the European Union and some institutions of the United Kingdom and personalities of the United Kingdom."
He further warned that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not hesitate to use its legal rights and will take action regarding any non-constructive behavior.
"Interference in Iran's affairs wont be without reaction. Iran will not be influenced by political pressure to obtain concessions," Kanaani said.
Iran recognizes the rights of protesters but not rioters
The Spokesman for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Tehran recognizes the right to peaceful protest based on regulations.
Protest and criticism are legal and acceptable but the riot is unconstructive.
Kanaani stressed: "The Islamic Republic of Iran recognizes the right to peaceful protest and crirism based on regulations and all citizens can express criticisms to the Iranian officials."
Western illegal interventions in Iran's internal affairs
He further noted: "As far as we are concerned, as a diplomatic agency, we have repeatedly announced that non-constructive interventions by countries in Iran's internal affairs are both illegal and unhelpful."
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman reacting to some western countries' propaganda over recent protests in Iran and supporting riots said: "These group of countries repeatedly commented on issues that Iran announced that they are investigating the dimensions of the issue. Expressing an opinion on an issue that is being investigated in terms of dimension and time frame in the country in question is prejudice, and Iran considers neither prejudice nor intervention constructive. "
"We believe the protest is legal and the Islamic Republic of Iran accepts protests but riots are unconstructive and foreign support for the riots will not help the voices of the protesters and critics to reach the officials in charge," Kanaani stressed.
Iran doesn't provide any weapons to Ukraine or Russia
The Spokesman for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that Tehran is not a party to the war in Ukraine and considers political dialogue the best solution for this crisis.
Answering a question on the claims about the purchase of ballistic missiles by Russia from Iran FM Spox said: "We are not a party to the war in Ukraine and we believe that the solution to this crisis is political dialogue to create peace and end the war."
Nasser Kaani Chafi further stated: "We have said many times that we did not provide weapons or military assistance to any side in this war, and we emphasize again that Iran has always tried and is ready to use its relations and capabilities to help the two sides to reach a political solution."
According to kanaani, repeated claims against Iran for participation in the Ukraine war are politically motivated and are made by countries that send weapons to one side of the war.
Kanaani stressed, "We know that these political motives serve as cover up for western providers of weapon in the war."
US biggest holder of female prisoners
Iran's FM Spox reacted to the possible removal of Iran from the convention of women's rights calling the United States the biggest prison keeper and prison maker in the world.
The US is home to more than 11,200 female prisoners which is one-third of the world's female prisoners.
In response to the possibility of removing Iran from the Convention on Women's Rights, the spokesman for Iran's Ministry of Foreign affairs said, while pointing out that removing a member from this convention is not defined:
"US claims to defend women's rights, while the US government is the biggest prison keeper and prison maker, and There are more than 11,200 female prisoners in America which means one third of World's female prisoners who are not even allowed to be visited by any official or media."
Instead of paying attention to its internal affairs and its citizens, the US government is interfering in the affairs of other countries.
