Iran Press/Iran News: Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Bagheri made the remarks on Tuesday in a meeting with the Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff Department of China's Central Military Commission Lieutenant General Shao Yuanming in Tehran.
During the meeting, General Bagheri informed about the compilation of a strategic plan regarding the cooperation between Iran and China for the next 25 years.
Stressing the fact that Iran and China are looking for developing bilateral ties, Iran's top military official said that the policies of the other countries do not affect Tehran–Beijing ties.
For his part, Chinese high ranking military official referred to Bagheri's latest visit to Beijing, saying the current visit has served as the base for cooperation between the armed forces of the two sides.
Bagheri visited China on Sept. 13 for a three-day visit at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart.
