New York (IP) - The permanent mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations called for the immediate removal of unilateral coercive measures to provide humanitarian aid to the Syrian people.

Iran PressAmerica: According to the Iran Press news agency, Iran's Permanent mission to the United Nations in a tweet wrote while referring to the statement of solidarity with the Syrian Arab Republic about the recent earthquake in this country: "The statement of solidarity with the Syrian Arab Republic on the recent earthquake urges the immediate, complete and unconditional withdrawal of illegal unilateral coercive measures (UCMs) in order to facilitate the delivery of much-needed humanitarian aid."

During this 7.8 magnitude earthquake, many buildings were damaged and search and rescue teams are removing the debris and rescued those trapped under the debris.

This deadly incident, in which thousands of people lost their lives, has brought widespread reactions, and the leaders of different countries have expressed their sympathy with the Syrian and Turkish nations, and in this regard, aid has also been supplied for the two countries.

So far, the Islamic Republic of Iran has sent humanitarian aid to the people affected by the earthquake in Syria with six planes.
