Iran Press/ Iran News: On Tuesday, Itamar Ben-Gvir the Minister of Internal Security of the Israeli regime entered the holy site of al-Aqsa Mosque through the Moroccan Gate, also known as the Mughrabi Gate, in what was described by Palestinians as an "unprecedented provocation."
The Palestinians announced that the entrance of the Israeli ministers to the Al-Aqsa Mosque means a violation of the legal status of the holy place.
Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian had a telephone conversation with the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Kuwait, and the OIC Secretary-General on Friday and expressed his protest against the desecration of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Zionist minister and the insulting of the religious authority by the French magazine Charlie Hebdo.

Amir-Abdollahian wrote: "I had a telephone conversation with the foreign ministers of Pakistan, Kuwait, and the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation."
The occupying entity will face "severe consequences" for incursion into the holy site, Amir Abdollahian said in a conversation with OIC Secretary General Hussein Ibrahim Taha.
He raised the alarm during a phone call with OIC Secretary General Hussein Ibrahim Taha on Thursday, as the two discussed the latest developments in the region and the Muslim world, including a contentious visit by far-right Israeli minister Itamar Ben-Gvir to the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in the occupied Old City of al-Quds.
The top Iranian diplomat expressed gratitude for Taha's swift condemnation of the latest Zionist desecration of al-Aqsa Mosque, saying that the consequences of this action would be severe for the fraudulent Israeli regime.
Amir Abdollahian urged the construction of an "effective legal and international mechanism to stop aggressive activities against religious authority and holy places."
Iran's FM also appreciated the secretary general of OIC for his stance in condemning the latest sacrilegious move by the French weekly magazine Charlie Hebdo to insult the top religious authority of the Islamic Republic.
He held the French government accountable for the cartoons, emphasizing that the role and Zionists may be seen beyond the notorious French magazine's recurrent activities against religious sanctities.
Taha, for his part, decried the recent Israeli desecration of the al-Aqsa Mosque and expressed alarm about the occupying regime's minister's entry into the holy site.
“This action has hurt the feelings of the Islamic Ummah,” he added.
Stressing that such provocative moves by the Zionists disturb peace and stability in the region, Taha said he is in talks with various bodies to pressure the Israeli regime to stop such measures.
He condemned the sacrilegious move by the notorious French magazine, underlining that the matter is being investigated to give a “proportionate” response to the move.
Charlie Hebdo magazine, the controversial magazine had in early December announced a competition for producing cartoons.

"The insulting and improper move by the French magazine to publish a caricature against the political and religious Marjaeya will not be left without a firm and effective answer. We do not allow the French government to overstep the mark. They have surely picked the wrong path. Earlier, we placed the journal on the list of sanctions," Amir-Abdollahian said on Wednesday.
Iran's FM and the OIC's Sec. Gen. also expressed deep concern over the Taliban's decision to ban girls and women from studying in Afghanistan, calling the measure inconsistent with the precepts and teachings of Islam.
Amir-Abdollahian also reiterated the Islamic Republic of Iran's position on the need to halt the wars and conflicts in Yemen, Afghanistan, and Ukraine.
