Iran Press/Iran news: At his live press conference, Asghar Jahangir, responding to Iran Press, asserted: "We have honored our commitment to avenge the pure blood of our fallen police martyrs."
Additionally, he said, "Eight individuals were killed, and four supporters of the terrorists were taken into custody. These individuals confessed to several killings over the past years."
He said those arrested were key members of the terrorist group responsible for killing security personnel in Taftan.
In other comments, Jahangir mentioned that local security forces had seized a large number of weapons during operations in the region, including US-made arms.
Additionally, last week, the ringleader of the terrorist group responsible for the deadly attack on a police convoy in southeastern Iran was killed.
The Jaish al-Adl terrorist group claimed responsibility for last week's deadly ambush in Taftan County, Sistan and Baluchestan province. Ten law enforcement officers were martyred in the attack.
