Iran Press/ Iran News: Upon his return from his two-day visit to Indonesia, Ebrahim Raisi told reporters on Wednesday evening that the Islamic Republic of Iran pursues economic convergence policy with different countries in the first phase of which it is in the path of trust-building.
Raisi said that Iran is approaching the emerging economic powers, including China, Russia, and Indonesia to have comprehensive and balanced relations with them.
As with the achievements of his trip, Raisi said 11 memoranda of cooperation were signed in different areas, including trade, culture, science and technology, and energy.
He referred to the unveiling of the Iranian-made surgery robot at the beginning of the negotiations, where 12 Indonesian hospitals were supposed to be equipped with Iranian items.
As with political issues, he told the reporters that Iran and Indonesia have common stances toward the issues of Palestine, Afghanistan, and Myanmar.
The Iranian president appreciated the Indonesian people and government and expressed hope that the visits could lead to the comprehensive development of the ties between the two countries, particularly in the economic areas.
Iran's President had traveled to Indonesia at the official invitation of his Indonesian counterpart, where he met with the Indonesian President, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Speaker of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly, and meeting with the Secretary General of ASEAN.
