Tehran (IP) – Iran's Minister of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) said the country is among the top 25 countries of the world with the technology of building satellites.

Iran PressIran news: On the sidelines of the cabinet session on Wednesday, September 13, Isa Zarepour told Iran Press about the status of Iran in the world aerospace industry, saying that the country is among the top 25 countries in this regard and can build measurement satellites with high imaging precision.

Zarepour said a new satellite named 'Tolou 3' is ready for launch, capable of sending images with a precision of below 10 meters.

He promised to manufacture new satellites with an accuracy of about 1 meter, which would be built by the end of the current administration term.   

The ICT minister also reported that Iran is among the 10 top countries in the technology of launching satellites, adding that the country can put its measurement satellites in Leo orbit 500-600 km from Earth.  

Also, he said that the country is among the 6-7 top countries of the world that are capable of transferring satellites between the different layers.
