Iran Press/ Iran News: Gholamhossein Rahimi said on Saturday at a ceremony honoring selected research students and technologists: "In the last decade, Iran has been able to attain 15th rank in the world in terms of article production the 14th rank this year."
He also added that references to articles by Iranian scientists around the world have also increased.
He emphasized: "Research week makes sense by attending school, we should never forget that higher education, research, technology are rooted in school."
The Deputy Minister of Research and Technology noted: "With the end of the imposed war, a good opportunity was created to work in the field of science and technology in the country. During these years, it did not occur to anyone that this country could hold a doctoral course. Also, no one thought that Iran could contribute in global development, but in the last two decades we have had good achievements in this field."
Rahimi added: "Iran has made great progress in the field of science and technology and has tried to eliminate shortcomings in the field of education and has achieved some successes."
The Deputy Minister of Research and Technology stated: "The more the issue of interaction between teacher and student and the connection between the management structure and the more attention is paid to the education of students, the more scientific and research successes will take place."
In the final part of his speech, Rahimi honored the memory of the country's martyrs, especially martyred students and top researchers who were recently martyred in the way of science.
The Research Week 1399 with the motto "Research and Technology at the service of the production surge" will be held from Saturday - December 13 to 17.
