Tehran (IP) - Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and the UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, held a telephone conversation this Thursday afternoon, discussing regional developments with a focus on Syria.

Iran Press/Iran news: In their discussion, both parties acknowledged the new circumstances in Syria, stressing the importance of preserving Syria's independence and territorial integrity, as well as ensuring the country's security and stability. The ministers also highlighted the urgent need to stop Israel's ground and air assaults on Syria.

The conversation also touched on the importance of safeguarding regional peace and stability, and avoiding provocative actions that could disrupt the current sensitive atmosphere of friendship and cooperation among regional countries.
