Iran Press/Iran news: According to the Iran Press news agency, by connecting the MIR banking network of Russia to the Shetab (Interbank Information Transfer Network) network of Iran, Iranian cards can be used in Russian ATMs. Therefore, every person can receive their funds from Iranian cards in rubles from ATMs in Russia.
Also, Russian nationals in Iran can benefit from this possibility in the second phase of this project. In the third phase, Iran's Shetab cards will be usable in Russian stores.
Farzin, the head of the central bank, had previously said: This contract was finalized with the Russian counterparts during the financial conference of the Bank of Russia in St. Petersburg, and with Iran joining the MIR payment system, the Russian alternative to Visa and MasterCard, Iranians can receive money from Russian ATMs with Iranian bank cards.
