A parliamentary delegation headed by Deputy Chairman of the Senate Pakistan, Syedal Khan, met with the Iranian Ambassador in Islamabad on Saturday evening.

Iran Press/Asia: In the meeting, Pakistan-Iran bilateral cooperation, coordination, regional peace, and security were discussed, and the need to take appropriate measures for trade activities at the border was emphasized.

On this occasion, Deputy Chairman of the Senate Syedal Khan stated that recommendations should be sought from the business community and relevant authorities for bilateral trade, and contacts between chambers of commerce should be promoted.

Syedal Khan mentioned that Pakistan and Iran are connected by common cultural, religious, and linguistic similarities. Iran is a brotherly Islamic country, and we are proud of our friendship with Iran.

Iranian Ambassador Reza Moghadam thanked the Deputy Chairman of the Senate and the delegation for their visit.

The Iranian Ambassador emphasized that it is important to provide facilities for trade in border areas, facilitate the exchange of delegations at the trade level, and benefit from each other’s experiences, which will strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries.

He further stated that the opening of border markets is facilitating the sale and delivery of products to traders on both sides.

Members of Parliament from Balochistan were also present on this occasion; they provided their suggestions and stressed the need to formulate a suitable action plan for promoting trade activities.
