New York(IP): Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who traveled to New York to participate in the UN Security Council meeting on the situation in the Middle East, met and consulted with Algerian Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf on the second day of his trip.

Iran PressAmerica: According to Iran press report from the United Nations, Algeria is now one of the 10 non-permanent members of the UN Security Council, which voted against the UN Security Council's resolution 2722, which was proposed and approved by the United States and Japan against Yemen's Ansarullah.

On the first day of his trip to New York, Amir- Abdollahian met with the foreign ministers of Russia and Lebanon, as well as the UN Secretary General's special envoy for Syrian affairs, and the parties discussed bilateral, regional and international relations.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran arrived at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York on Monday afternoon local time at the head of a high-level delegation and was welcomed by Amir Saeed Iravani, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Iran to the United Nations, Zahra Ershadi, Ambassador and Deputy Representative of Iran and other diplomats of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

This is the third visit of the foreign minister of the 13th government to New York this year.
