Iran's Foreign Minister who traveled to New York to participate in the UN Security Council meeting on the situation in West Asia, met with the Foreign Minister of Lebanon, Russia and the UN Secretary General's special envoy for Syria.

Iran PressAmerica: Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and Abdallah Bou Habib the current Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lebanon discussed bilateral, regional, and international relations in this meeting.

Iranian Foreign Minister also met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Monday evening and discussed regional, international, and bilateral issues.

In his third meeting, Amir-Abdollahian also met with Geir Pedersen, the UN Secretary General's special envoy for Syrian affairs, and discussed the developments in the West Asian region.

 

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, arrived at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York on Monday afternoon at the head of a high-ranking delegation and was welcomed by Amir Saeed Iravani, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Iran to the United Nations, Zahra Ershadi, Ambassador and Deputy Representative of Iran and other diplomats of the Islamic Republic based in New York.

The meeting of the United Nations Security Council to review the latest developments in the region and the Israeli-Palestinian war is scheduled to be held this afternoon local time at the level of the foreign ministries of the member countries of this council as well as the countries affecting the region.

In addition to participating in the UN Security Council meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran is also going to have bilateral meetings with his counterparts and UN officials. 219
