Iran Press/ Middle East: The Iraq International Defense Exhibition (IQDEX) kicked off on Wednesday in the Iraqi capital Baghdad with the participation of 60 weapon production companies from different countries.
The four-day exhibition is aimed to meet Iraq's security and counter-terrorism needs and improve the capabilities of the Iraqi security forces.
According to Hassan Norouzpour, the Islamic Republic of Iran's military attaché in Baghdad, Iran has introduced a small part of its defense and military capabilities at the Baghdad International Defense Exhibition.The Iraqi Minister of Defense, the Director-General of the Intelligence Organization, officials from the Prime Minister's Office, and senior Iraqi commanders visited the Iranian pavilion at the exhibition.
Iraj Masjedi, Iran's ambassador to Baghdad, also visited the Iranian pavilion on Saturday and said Iran participated in the Baghdad military-defense exhibition to support the nations and governments of the region.
Masjedi stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran will spare no effort in expanding cooperation with the region's countries, especially in defense.
Advanced equipment such as unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), rocket launchers, missiles, cannons, and different ground support equipment were presented at the exhibition.
