Tehran (IP) - The Interior Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran warned terrorists that security forces would closely monitor them.

Iran PressIran news: Attending a press conference on Sunday about the terrorist attack at police station 16 in Zahedan, southeastern Iran, Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi warned terrorist groups about their violent actions and noted that the security forces and the Police would closely keep an eye on their activities.

A number of armed men attacked the police station of 16 Zahedan, the capital of Sistan and Baluchistan province, southeast of Iran, on Saturday. However, the Police thwarted their plan, and all the terrorists, who were four, were killed, and their mission failed. 

Two members of the 16 Zahedan Police Station, Lieutenant Ali Keykha and Conscript Mobeen Rashidi, got martyred after resisting the terrorists.

Minister Vahidi elaborated on the terrorists' tactics, saying that the terrorists disguised themselves as ordinary individuals to carry out the heinous act.

The Iranian Minister of Interior called on neighboring countries to secure and control borders and pointed out that individuals crossing borders illegally will be punished within the framework of Iranian law.
