India registers 1,459 new coronavirus deaths

India on Tuesday reported 1,459 deaths from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, raising its pandemic death toll to 370,600.

IranPress/Asia: After falling sharply on the previous day, daily COVID cases and deaths in India registered a slight rise on Tuesday. The country reported 63,868 fresh cases and 1,459 fatalities on Monday, up from 59,915 and 1,326, respectively.

India has the world's second-largest number of coronavirus infections after the United States with total cases of 29.6 million, according to health ministry data.

The global death toll is 3,838,000 with 177,413,000 confirmed cases.
