Iran Press/ Iran News: Mohammad Rastad, Iran's Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development, said during a visit to the Shahid Rajaei Port's development projects on Monday evening that the completion of two important container terminal and oil terminals projects at the Shahid Rajaei Port is the main goal of the year of 'Surge in Production'.
The managing director of the Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran also pointed out the importance of cooperation between the organization and Iran Railway Company for the development of rail transport in Shahid Rajaei port and specified that increasing the direct transport of goods is very important in the rapid transfer of goods in the year of the 'surge in production'.
The outbreak of the coronavirus has not affected the activities of Iran's strategic ports, including the port of Shahid Rajaei in Hormozgan province.
Unloading, loading, and clearance of goods in Shahid Rajaei port is done with full observance of health protocols and in 45 days since the Iranian new year (starting on March 21), about 6 million tons of goods have been unloaded, loaded and moved in Shahid Rajaei port.
