Iran Press/ Iran News: Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei is delivering a speech at a ceremony held to commemorate the 34th demise anniversary of Imam Khomeini (RA) at his Mausoleum.
A huge ceremony to commemorate the 34th demise anniversary of Imam Khomeini (RA) is being held at the Mausoleum of Imam Khomeini in south Tehran on Sunday with Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei delivering a speech on it.
The 14th of Khordad 1402 (June 4, 2023) is the anniversary of the departure of the Late Imam Khomeini (RA), the great founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Imam a role model in rising up for justice
At the start of his speech, the current Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei described the founder of the Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini as a role model in rising up for justice and initiating a revolution.
The Leader referred to the noble characteristic of Imam Khomeini (RA), saying that he brought changes to Iran, Islam, and to the world.
Imam broke the imperial structure and replaced it with democracy
Ayatollah Khamenei clarified that in Iran, the late Imam broke the imperial political structure and replaced it with democracy; in Islam, the issue of Palestine became the first issue of the Islamic world; and at the world level, Imam revived the conditions for paying attention to spirituality even in non-Muslim countries
We can overcome problems with the spirit of We Can
The Leader said: "It is possible that there will be distortions about Imam a few times, but this Sun will not stay behind the clouds.
"The Imam created 3 great transformations, one at the level of the country, one at the level of the Islamic Ummah, and one at the level of the world. These three transformations have been unprecedented, and perhaps in the future, we cannot make predictions that what will be realized again, Imam Khamenei said.
“The Imam removed an un-Islamic system from the scene, turned tyranny into freedom, lack of identity into self-confidence, looking out for strangers into “we can”, Leader said.
These are great changes brought about by Imam Khomeini with the leadership of the Revolution”, Ayatollah Khamenei noted.
The Leader highlighted, “We Can is the key to solving problems, we have problems, but with the spirit of We Can, we can overcome the problems.”
Imam created Islamic awakening at his time
“At the level of the Islamic Ummah, the Imam created Islamic awakening at this level. Today, the Islamic Ummah is more active than before the revolution, although it also needs more activity”, the Leader stated, noting, “The issue of Palestine was supposed to be forgotten, but with the movement of Imam, it became the first issue of the Islamic world, and the Imam gave new life to the body of Palestine. Today, Quds Day is marked not only in Islamic countries but also in non-Islamic countries.”
Imam's movement revived spirituality in the world
Ayatollah Khamenei said: Imam revived the attention to spirituality in the world even in non-Islamic countries, spirituality in the world was under the kicking of some powers, Imam's movement revived spirituality in the world. But this development has been faced with the reaction of the same powers and these powers are doing everything to deal with the revival of spirituality.
Ayatollah Khamenei said: Imam did these great works with the support of which hardware and software? Imam did not have hardware, he did not have money, he did not have a news agency, and the powers of the world did not support him.
Referring to the strong faith of Imam Khomeini, Ayatollah Khamenei said: In the meeting that martyr Motahari, who himself was the epitome of faith, had with the Imam in Paris, he saw 4 faiths in Imam Khomeini, 1. Faith in purpose, 2. Faith in the way, 3. Faith in people and believers, 4. Faith in God
The Leader stated: When we consider faith in God in objective matters and fight against arrogance, this faith means faith in God's promises, trust in God's promise, which imam took a firm step on this path, the imam's faith in Islam is neither faith in capitalist Islam, nor faith in ignorant intellectual Islam.
Ayatollah Khamenei stated that the Imam had faith in the people, that is, trust and faith in the people, and said: Some people, with their own misconceptions, said that the Imam added the word "republic" with reluctance. The Imam was not reluctant at all.

Pointing out that the hope in the Imam's heart never faded, the Leader of the Revolution said: Hope is clearly seen in the Imam's behavior and remarks.
Imam's greatest advice is to continue his path
The Leader said: What advice does the Imam give us today…. dear brothers and spirited and hardworking young people of the whole country, we should listen to the Imam's advice, the Imam is great, he is eminent, and we also have great things ahead of us, we need advice. The greatest advice of the Imam is to continue his path and preserve his legacy.
The Leader of the revolution stated: We must preserve the three developments that the Imam founded, of course, pursuing today's goal has requirements that are different from the requirements of the Imam. Today, the tools must be chosen according to the times, the tools change, but what does not change are the fronts, the fronts have not changed.
