Iranian swimmer:

Tehran (IP)- The 7th Olympic swimmer of Iran in the event's history expressed hope that he could improve his national 200 m butterfly average in Tokyo.

Iran PressIran news: In a telephone interview with Iran Press News Agency, Matin Balsini added: "My most important goal to participate in the Tokyo Olympics is to gain experience and participate in the event together with world-class swimmers."

The Iranian Olympic swimmer said: "I was qualified to participate in the Olympics with the highest score, and I had been training and trying to shine in the tournament for the past two years."

Matin Balsini said: "Despite the corona restrictions, I have improved the 200-meter butterfly average in Iran and will try to help improve Iran's swimming standards by participating in the Tokyo Olympics."

In the last days of June, Matin Balsini upgraded his national record in the 200m butterfly at the Olympic Swimming Qualifiers hosted by Belgrade, Serbia.
