Iran Press/ Iran news: At the closing ceremony of the 12th Farabi International Award, Mansour Gholami thanked all the institutions and those who helped organize and promote the festival during these years, adding that according to the reports submitted during the 12th Farabi Award, a large number of prominent professors, researchers, universities and institutions of higher education, as well as reputable scientific associations have cooperated closely in various scientific and executive sectors.
The high-ranking official has stated that despite the coronavirus outbreak, which has slowed some activities in the country, over the past two years, the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology while pursuing its duties, has seriously tried to comply with the protocols applied by the National Task Force for Combating Coronavirus.
Gholami highlighted: "Reputable events such as the Farabi International Award, in addition to identifying and appreciating top researchers, seek to provide a realistic picture of the country's scientific products and pave the way for their qualitative growth."
He stressed that the results of such events require time, money, and most importantly, support.
The closing ceremony of the 12th Farabi International Award, dedicated to humanities and Islamic sciences research, was held on Sunday with a message from the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and the introduction and appreciation of 37 selected domestic and foreign researchers.
In the ceremony, the owners of 11 works in the adult section, and 8 works in the youth section, 7 selected in the international section, and also 11 selected figures in other sections were introduced and honored in the presence of scientific and national officials.
From the total number of works and people studied in the international section, 7 prominent experts and researchers from Germany, Afghanistan, Italy, Belgium, Pakistan, Tajikistan, and Russia were selected as the selected section of Islamic studies and Iranology.
