Iran Press/ Iran news: The winner of the game, which was held in the eighth week of the Premier Volleyball League at the Tehran Volleyball House, was the Gonbad Municipality team with a result of 3-0 and with scores of 25 to 22, 25 to 21, and 25 to 15 against Khatam Ardakan.
In an interview with Iran Press News Agency on Sunday, Azim Jazideh, the head coach of Gonbad Municipality volleyball team, referred to the coronavirus outbreak and said: "Holding the Premier Volleyball League these days, when we are witnessing the spread of the coronavirus, helps the development and readiness of Iranian volleyball players and I am one of those who insisted that the tournament be held in Tehran."
Farhad Nafarzadeh, the head coach of Khatam Ardakan volleyball team, also told Iran Press: "The Volleyball Federation has held the competitions in a centralized manner due to the observance of health protocols and the prevention of the coronavirus pandemic, but this issue can also help prepare the players who are going to enter the Iranian national volleyball team from the same league, and the teams get prepared."
The volleyball competitions of the country's top clubs, which had been suspended for 2 weeks due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, are being held in Tehran with the participation of 14 teams, with the health protocols observed, according to the decision of the volleyball federation officials.
