Iran Press/Iran News: Hezbollah’s Media Relations Office issued a statement late on Wednesday in which the resistance movement censured the arbitrary detention of Marzieh Hashemi and called for her immediate and unconditional release, Iran Press reported.
Hezbollah also denounced the U.S. authorities’ offence against the journalist’s beliefs.
“The Media Relations of Hezbollah voices solidarity with fellow Hashemi and her family, as well as with our dear colleagues in Press TV channel,” the statement said.
Hezbollah also called on 'free' media outlets across the world to reveal U.S.’ racism and violations of human rights.
On January 13, the Press TV journalist has been mysteriously detained by the FBI after she was apprehended at St. Louis Lambert International Airport while travelling to visit family.
Peyman Jebeli, IRIB World Service chief on Wednesday vehemently condemned the arrest and imprisonment of journalist, Marzieh Hashemi, saying the Trump administration was fully responsible for the safety and well-being of the Press TV anchor.

The English-language Iranian network said no charges have been filed against the American-born journalist, adding that no reason was given for her detention.
The journalist told her family that her hijab had been removed against her will during custody, and that U.S. officials denied her access to halal or vegan food for several days, leaving her with only pretzels and bread. 206/103
