Iran Press/ Middle East: A US delegation, along with several Israeli police and intelligence officers, uncoordinatedly visited Al-Aqsa Mosque, Palestinian sources said on Tuesday.
Hamas said on Wednesday: "This intrusion reflects the pro-US policies of the Zionist regime and one of the main reasons for the continuation of the occupation and aggression of the regime against the Palestinian people and sanctities."
Hamas considered the US entrance to the Al-Aqsa Mosque against international law and resolutions. It stressed that such actions would escalate the tensions, the responsibility of which was up to the US.
The statement warned about the consequences of the US delegation's visit to the occupied territories and noted that the goal of the visit was to strengthen security cooperation between the intelligence services of the Israeli regime and the Palestinian National Authority (PNA).
