Iran Press/ Iran News: Following the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), with the aim of eliminating the transmission chain of the virus, the Iranian Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts announced that all historic and tourist places across Iran have been closed.
In the same context, the historical and tourist sites of Hamadan, West of Iran, including the Mausoleum of Abu Ali Sina, the Tomb of Baba Taher, the Alavian dome, and the Hegmataneh ancient site do not host the tourists and travelers due to coronavirus outbreak.
More than 15,400 people have died from COVID-19 globally. An estimated 100,000 of the 362,000 people who have been diagnosed with the disease across the world have recovered, according to data collected by Johns Hopkins University.
According to Iran's Health Ministry, 8,376 people out of a total of 23,049 infected by the coronavirus have recovered across the country while 1,812 have unfortunately succumbed to death.
