Iran Press/ Iran News: In some cities across Iran, there have been sporadic protests and unrest after the death of Mahsa Amini.
" Regarding the statements of the French officials and the president of that country about the developments in Iran, I must say that the Europeans used to define terrorism as "good" and "bad," but recently, we see that they distinguish riots into "good" and "bad." Nasser Kanaani said in his weekly presser.
If these riots take place in Iran are good, but if they occur in Europe, the riots are bad, and Europe has the right to end them with coercive force, he added.
The government of the Islamic Republic is elected by the people's vote and is concerned about its citizens and their security. In the unrest that engulfed all the countries of the Middle East (Arab Spring), and these countries became insecure, Iran was stable and secure in the region and proved its ability to be responsible for the security of its citizens at the height of the crisis in the region, Kanaani noted, adding, "Iran has also proven that it has played a very important role in ensuring the security of the countries in the region, especially Syria and Afghanistan."
"There are countries claim that Iran violates human rights, which are themselves violators of human rights. These countries do not have the moral competency to advise others and interfere in the internal affairs of countries," the spokesman noted.
He said about Borrell's recent statements that he described Europe as a garden and other countries of the world as a Jungle: "These statements surprised the Europeans themselves and had many reactions."
Iran supports unity of Palestinian groups in fight against Zionist regime
The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Kanaani, regarding Palestine and the unity and cohesion between the Palestinian groups, says: Iran's point of view is clear, and we support the unity and cohesion of the Palestinian groups in the fight against the usurping Zionist regime and the end of the occupation.
Kanaani noted, "What can end the occupation and not compromise with the occupier is resistance against them. Iran has put forward its political idea that the democratic solution to end the occupation of Palestine and solve this decades-long crisis is to hold a referendum to determine the fate of the Palestinian nation, in which all the Palestinian nation and the original inhabitants of Palestine participate in the inclusive referendum and towards the country and the government system to make their own decisions."
"Iran has registered its democratic plan in the United Nations. Regarding the meeting in Algeria, I must state that Iran supports the action of the Algerian government to create unity between the Palestinian groups and we believe that this convergence will help to secure the opinion of the Palestinian people and achieve the rights of the Palestinian people," Kanaani stated.
In response to a question, Kanaani stated: "In various phone calls between Iran's foreign minister and European counterparts, we expressed Iran positions. We invite the European parties to be rational and stick to their slogans. They are talking about Iran, a country that is both powerful and responsible and has played and continues to play a decisive role in the stability and security of the region. Iran has always behaved responsibly towards regional and international issues."
"In the case of rational behavior by European countries, Iran can be the most important partner for peace and stability. We advise them not to adopt unreasonable and intrusive behaviors. It has been said that if the European side is ready to interact, the country is ready to interact, but if selective behavior and double standards-oriented policies are adopted, Tehran will react proportionally and reciprocally."
Iran expresses satisfaction with political process inside Iraq
Regarding recent developments in Iraq and the election of the President, Naser Kanaani noted: "We are happy that the political process in Iraq has strengthened and led to the election of the president of the country, and the president also appointed the prime minister and the cabinet has been formed."
"This is a pleasant event, and we are happy that the political process inside Iraq has gained strength and is progressing forward. President Raisi congratulated his counterpart. We hope that he will succeed in forming a government within the legal deadline and God willing the government will act according to the needs of Iraq and stability will be consolidated in the country. Iraq should play a stronger role in regional political equations, and Iran-Iraq bilateral cooperationshould be strengthened, and we welcome this process."
CICA meeting, one of important developments in region
The spokesman noted Iran President Ebrahim Raisi's presence at the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) meeting: "The CICA meeting was one of the important developments in the region."
"Our presence was both in the form of Iran's effective membership in the conference and the continuation of the foreign policy of the 13th Administration in adopting a balanced foreign policy and focusing and strengthening multilateral cooperation with a focus on neighbors and Asian countries. There were good discussions, and it was a good meeting. The President had a bilateral meeting with the President of Azerbaijan and the Emir of Qatar. The CICA conference can become a suitable mechanism for securing the interests of the member countries."
Negotiations to lift sanctions still in Iran's agenda
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman rejected that the negotiations to lift the sanctions have been over.
"The sanctions-lifting negotiations have not been removed from Iran's agenda. The problem is the inconsistency of behavior and action in the US administration's officials. On the one hand, they send messages and convey their views, and on the other hand, in behavior and speech, these positions are practically not complementary to the negotiation process. There are grounds for revival of agreement and return of all parties. Now this issue depends on the political decision of the US Administration and we can return to the agreement whenever they want. Iran will not delay the agreement."
This senior diplomat regarding the visit of the high-ranking Iraqi delegation to Tehran heading by the national security advisor of the Iraqi Prime Minister: "the meeting was complementary to the meeting last week in Baghdad, and good understandings were reached and we hope that the Iraqi brothers will consider the security of Iran as its own security just as Iran does. Iraqi brothers must consider the security of Iran as the security of Iraq and fulfill their responsibilities to the common security and borders of Iran and be responsible."
Kanaani stated, "The meeting was held, and good consultations were held, and we expect that based on these talks and the commitments of the Iraqi government, we will see the control of the government over all the border areas of the country, including the Kurdistan region of Iraq with Iran, be consolidated and expanded, and the Iraqi government will deploy its forces to fully establish the security and prevent the movement of separatist groups from the common borders into the territory of Iraq."
Iran again rejected news of exporting weapons to Russia
The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted to the claim of the Prime Minister of Ukraine regarding the sale of Iranian drones to Russia.
Nasser Kanaani stressed: "Unfortunately, the news is published that is based on political goals and is mainly fueled by Western sources. Iran has repeatedly declared that it is not a party to the war between Russia and Ukraine. the country has not exported any weapons to any of the war parties."
The official noted, "Just as Iran was against the war in Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan, and Iran's foreign policy was based on opposing the war, it is against the war in Ukraine and has made its own efforts to end the military approach according to its capacity."
