Tehran (IP) - The Spokesman of the Iranian Guardian Council says the violation cases in the recent elections were pursued except those presented without adequate evidence.

Iran Press/Iran News: Hadi Tahan-Nazif told reporters on Saturday in a press conference that the reports about violations in the recent elections were addressed if supported by evidence such that in some cases the ballot boxes were recounted.

Still, Hadi Tahan-Nazif responded to a question from Iran Press about the diversity of the candidates and the turn-out in the election, saying that diversity is as important and effective as other factors in the turn-out amount.

He stated that various factors are effective in the participation and the weight of these factors is also effective, each with a different weight, such as the promises given in the election campaigns, but the diversity of the candidates is equally important and effective.

Elsewhere, the GC spokesman referred to the reforms the parliament practiced in the election law of the country and said the election system still needs reforms including in its patterns and general policies, such as the regulated activity of the parties, which requires the Parliament's more revision.

The bill to send a dispute between the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) and Bahrain's Bank for examination was among other items in the GC spokesman's report, which he said was confirmed by the council.

According to the bill, the CBI is allowed to pursue its legal demands from the Bahraini banks, including the claiming of the CBI losses as an investor in Bahrani banks. In case Bahrain refrained from fulfilling the damages, the CBI along with the Office of Iran's Vice President for Legal Affairs is tasked to file a lawsuit against the Bahraini government or banks.

The issue has been addressed in Article 11 of the Law on the Mutual Investment Promotion and Support Agreement between the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Government of Bahrain's Kingdom, approved in 2003. 204
