IP - While more than 40,000 people were killed by Israel in 314 days since October 7, Negotiations for reaching a truce are underway in the Doha capital of Qatar without Hamas attendance and Egypt says that big disagreements have not been solved yet.

Iran PressWest Asia: More than 40,000 people have been killed in Gaza in the past 314 days. Gaza Health Ministry said the real casualties are very far from this record for thousands of those who were buried under rubble and are at serious risk of death due to illness and lack of food, medicine, and many basic needs.

Today, the Hamas government media office said at a press conference that more than 10,000 people remain missing under the rubble of collapsed buildings, meaning the real number of deaths may surpass 50,000.

More than 94,000 people were injured and more than 2 million people were displaced because nearly all of Gaza's civilian or governmental were damaged or destroyed.

End of First Day; Negotiation Will Resume on Friday

Qatar Foreign Ministry spokesman, Majed al-Ansari after the end of the first day of negotiation said that the efforts of the mediators including Qatar, Egypt, and the US are ongoing to reach a ceasefire in Gaza and the meeting will resume on Friday.

Hamas politburo member Husam Badran on Thursday in a statement said that any deal should achieve a complete ceasefire, complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, a return of captives, a return of displaced Palestinians, and a captive exchange deal.

Simultaneous with the first day of negotiation in Qatar, anti-Netanyahu protesters staged a demonstration in Tel Aviv and called for a ceasefire and the release of captives in Gaza.

Settlers Burn Palestinian village in West Bank

On Thursday one Palestinian was killed and more than 11 people injured as Israeli settlers opened fire in the village of Jit, east of the occupied West Bank city of Qalqilya.

Over 100 assailants take part in the rampage in Jit. The settlers hurled stones and Molotov cocktails, torching at least four homes and six vehicles in the village.

The Palestinian Authority health ministry said a 23-year-old Palestinian, named Rasheed Seda, was killed and another Palestinian civilian was critically wounded by the “settlers’ bullets.”

Also in another attack on Palestinians in the town of Huwara in Nablus, by both Israeli settlers and Israeli soldiers dozens were injured. 

Israeli Attacks on Gaza as Ceasefire talks underway

On Thursday, 7 civilians were killed and dozens injured in an Israeli airstrike hit a residential apartment in the Jabalia refugee camp.

Another 30 people were killed in an Israeli artillery attack at Hamad City in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip and several other raids attacks across the Palestinian territory over the previous 24 hours.
