Iran Press/ Iran News: Referring to the antiquity of calligraphy in Iran, Mohammad Hassan Talebian said: "Unfortunately, with the expansion of the digital age, attention to this art has decreased."
The head of Eco-Institute, Sarvar Bakhti also referred to the difficulties created by the coronavirus pandemic and said that in such circumstances, holding such festivals is necessary.
Referring to the works of Polish and Japanese artists in the exhibition, he stated that art and culture have no borders and especially calligraphy has conquered the world.
Bakhti stressed that all agencies should work together to preserve the ancient heritage for the next generation.
Still, the head of the Mashhad Calligraphers Association, Mohammad Ali Bagherzadeh, also announced the presentation of 50 works by calligraphy teachers of the city in the exhibition.
Pointing out that the city of Mashhad has been the cradle of prominent artists throughout history, Bagherzadeh noted that the Mashhad Calligraphers Association, as an official institution with a history of 55 years after Tehran's, is the second pole of calligraphy and the cradle of top artists in the country.207
