French ambassador to Tehran Philippe Thiebaud stressed Paris's interest in maintaining Iran's nuclear agreement 2015 known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Iran PressIran News: Philippe Thiebaud met with Behrouz Kamalvandi, spokesman and deputy head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization for International Affairs, Legal and Parliament Affairs on Monday and discussed the latest status of the agreement, various actions, and expectations of the JCPOA parties to maintain the agreement given the scaling down Iran's commitment in response to non-compliance of European parties to their obligations under the JCPOA.

Describing France's efforts as a member of the European Union and a member of the JCPOA to maintain it, Thiebaud reaffirmed the seriousness and interest of his country and European Union in maintaining the important agreement.

The two sides also discussed bilateral co-operation in various fields of nuclear science and technology, including fusion and radiopharmaceuticals, and the deepening of relations in the field of peaceful nuclear activities.
