Tehran (IP): Iran's foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, in a post on Twitter, called for global and regional cooperation to fight Coronavirus.

Iran Press/Iran news: Mohammad Javad Zarif referred to the close engagement with the World Health Organization (WHO) to fight Coronavirus, adding that global and regional cooperation is imperative. 

He also pointed to the measures implemented by the Islamic Republic to fight the outbreak of Coronavirus, including screening of air travelers at departure gates, noting, "We either win together or lose together." 

The coronavirus, which has spread to more than 86 countries, was first detected late last year in Wuhan and surrounding Hubei province of China. 

More than 3,300 people have died and over 96,000 have been infected worldwide. The vast majority of cases are in China.
