Riyadh (IP) - Iran's Foreign Minister said upon his arrival in Riyadh on Wednesday that his visit to Saudi Arabia aims to discuss the regional developments, particularly in Gaza and Lebanon.

Iran PressIran news: Abbas Aragchi started a regional tour on Wednesday morning to have consultations with the leaders of the regional countries, beginning the tour with a visit to Saudi Arabia.

Abbas Araghchi told reporters: "My purpose of the trip is to consult about regional issues and the developments that are taking place in the region, in Lebanon and Gaza, and the crimes that the Zionist regime is committing there, the refugees that are now in Lebanon and the way to provide them with aid and relief."

He expressed hope that the consultations could result in a better situation for Palestine, Lebanon, and regional peace.

The Israeli regime has waged an extensive war in the region since October 7, 2023, particularly in Palestine and Lebanon, which has led to the massacre of more than 44,000 people in the two countries, along with aggressions on Iran and Syria.

The regime of course received Iran's crushing response for the recent violations of Islamic territorial integrity during True Promise I and II, with scores of ballistic missiles hitting the heart of the Israeli regime's military and espionage bases.

Iran's FM Araghchi and his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan had discussions with respect to the latest developments in the region and talked about the way to terminate the Israeli regime's war on Gaza and Lebanon and deliver humanitarian aid to the refugees as soon as possible.

The two foreign ministers reviewed the latest state of bilateral relations and stressed the continuation of strengthening the relations in various political, security, and economic fields.
