Iran Press/ Iran news: The visit by the Russian Foreign Minister to Tehran is his first under the new Iranian administration.
Discussions on some international issues, including the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the latest developments in Ukraine, Syria, Yemen, and Afghanistan, as well as economic cooperation between the two countries, are among the issues Sergei Lavrov and Amir-Abdollahian will discuss.
Hossein Amir-Abdollahian wrote on his Twitter page, "Substantial talks w FM Lavrov to further enhance. Also discussed regional & int'l developments."
Both stressed that arbitrary & extraterritorial sanctions are illegitimate.
We agreed to intensify joint efforts to expedite full implementation of our agreements.
