The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with his Qatari counterpart as he arrived in Doha as the next destination of his regional tour.

Iran Press/ West Asia: Abbas Araghchi began a regional tour on Wednesday with Saudi Arabi as the first destination of his trip to consult over the regional developments, particularly the Israeli war on Gaza and southern Lebanon.

Arriving in Doha on Thursday morning, Iran's FM Abbas Araghchi met with Qatar's FM Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani to discuss the recent developments in the region.

In an interview with Al-Jazeera, he pointed to the Israeli regime's warmongering and its aggressions on Iran which led to the country's response in the form of Operation True Promise I and II.

"Although we are not looking for war through escalation, we are ready for any scenario. The Israelis can test our will power," he told the Qatar news agency.

Iran launched Operation True Promise II against the Israeli regime due to the Israeli regime's violation of Iranian territorial integrity over the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.

Earlier on Wednesday in Riyadh, Araghchi met with the Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.

The regional tour, Araghchi said, focuses on efforts to stop the Israeli warmongering in the region.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli regime began an extensive war on the region, especially in Palestine and Lebanon, such that the regime's war on the two countries left more than 44,000 people killed.
