Iran Press/ Iran news: The Iranian Spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Medical Education Kianoush Jahanpour stated that containing coronavirus needs regional and global cooperation.
He further added, "What matters is a kind of global solidarity and cooperation to fight the virus. No country will be able to fight the virus alone. This requires regional and global cooperation while transferring knowledge and experience to combat the disease, although certain countries may behave differently for various reasons, such as concealing information or unilateral actions like imposing sanctions against other countries."
"These are behaviors that are not in line with global health and the world and should be one of the issues of the international community. Health diplomacy is something that we have to control some behaviors in the international arena," Jahanpour added.
During his press conference, Jahanpour updated the number of people who have been infected with the COVID-19 for the past 24 hours.
He said the total number of people with the disease is 12729, of whom 4339 have recovered and discharged. Also, 1365 new cases had been infected with coronavirus from yesterday until today.
