Iran Press/Iran News: Thousands of people are participating in the Southern city of Ahvaz on Sunday morning for the funeral procession of Martyred Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, the commander of Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) and his companions.
The body of the commander of the Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps and his martyred companions arrived at Ahvaz International Airport, Khuzestan province, southwestern Iran a few hours ago.
Hundreds of people and officials marched in Ahvaz Airport to receive the bodies of martyrs of the US terrorist attack.
Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, Abu Mehdi al-Muhandis, the deputy chief of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization (al-Hashed al-Sha'abi), along with a number of other military figures were martyred by direct order of US President Donald Trump in the early hours of Friday morning (January 3, 2020).
Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani was awarded by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei as the first Iranian military official to hold Iran’s highest military order, the Order of Zulfaqar after the 1979 Islamic Revolution. 104/219
