Russia (IP)- The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation, in a telephone conversation with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov on Friday consulted about the US recent anti-Iranian actions.

Iran PressEurope: The two sides also discussed important bilateral and international issues, including the latest status of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), UN Security Council's Resolution 2231, and the US illegal moves to extend Iran's arms embargo as well as Iran's cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Kazem Jalali also talked through the telephone with another Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin about resolving the Syrian crisis and providing humanitarian assistance to the country's people.

Iran and Russia are working closely with Turkey to resolve the Syrian crisis as part of the Astana talks.

The heavy defeat of the terrorists supported by the West and some Arab states in Syria, the drastic reduction of violence in the country, and the return of a large number of Syrian refugees to their homeland are the fruits of cooperation between the three countries.
