Tehran (IP)- Ambassadors of several South American and Spanish-speaking countries gathered at the University of Arts in Tehran on Monday to discuss ways to increase artistic cooperation.

Iran PressIran News: The purpose of holding this meeting was to introduce the University of Art and its activities to the present ambassadors, hold joint art events, and exchange professors.

While welcoming the guests, Mohammad Reza Hosnaee, the president of the University of Arts, said: In the belief of the Islamic Republic of Iran, no word will last except art.

Hosnaee added: Art is a bridge of cultural communication in the international arena, and therefore we are exchanging culture with other societies.

In addition, Alireza Delkhosh, Director General of Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is taking steps to support the expansion of the relationship between Iranian universities and South American universities.

Delkhosh added: We consider the signing of documents and cooperation and memorandum of understanding between universities to be very useful, provided that they are implemented.

In the continuation of this meeting, the ambassadors of various South American countries, including Brazil, Mexico, Venezuela, and Argentina, while expressing their views on Iran's rich culture and art, said that they will convey the message and results of this meeting to their country.

The ambassador of Bolivia in Iran, Romina Perez, while emphasizing the position of art in the future due to global hegemony, said: the scientific position of Iranian universities in the world is much higher than what is shown, and art will be a strong tool to prove this.
