Tehran (IP) - The Interior Minister of Iran said that the enemy seeks to undermine the security of the borders by strengthening the terrorist outfits, adding that Iran's Border Guard Command has good border diplomacy and management.

Iran Press/Iran News: Speaking at the 24th National Conference of Commanders, Deputies, Heads, and Managers of Police Force held via video conferencing on Monday, Abdolreza Rahmani-Fazli referred to the outbreak of coronavirus in the country and the Police's measures in this regard, saying: "This disease is unknown. In the early days, we faced a shortage of hygienic equipment, but two months after the disease, we can now produce 4 million industrial masks a day, and we have no problem with hygiene equipment."

The Interior Minister stated: "Controlling the entry and exit of cities, closing jobs, etc. were among the good measures that were implemented to deal with the coronavirus."

The global case tally for the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 has climbed to 2.35 million. The death toll rose to more than 160,000.

In Iran, 83,505 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, 5,209 people have died due to the virus and 59,273 have recovered.
