Iran Press/ Iran News: Delivering a speech on Wednesday in a ceremony to honor martyrs and wartime veterans' families in Tehran, Major-General Hossein Salami stated that the Islamic Republic had disappointed the enemies who imposed pressure on Iran.
The top general noted that the enemies wished to spoil the jihadi spirit among the Iranian youth. Still, the Iranian young people were aware, and the enemies did not know what strategic action to take.
Referring to the US presence in Afghanistan, Yemen, Lebanon and Syria, Salami has highlighted that Americans will lose their face if they leave (the way they left Afghanistan). If they stay, they will also lose.
He called Iran's Sacred Defense a role model for all Muslims to follow.
Pointing out that all capacities of a county are manifested during a war, Salami added that Iran's Sacred Defense was the longest and the most unjust war in history.
Before the ceremony, 220 books on Sacred Defense were unveiled, and families of martyrs and veterans were honored.
