Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad slams talks with Israel

Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement opposed an Arab plan to return to negotiations with the Zionist regime.

Iran PressMiddle East: A senior official in the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement (PIJ) Khaled Al-Batsh, said on Thursday 7 May that the invitation to negotiate with the Zionist regime is an escape from confrontation and it is considered as a search for useless tools to prolong occupation of this regime.

The member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad stated what is expected is not a return to negotiations, but rather a withdrawal from the Oslo Accord, quitting the efforts of getting to know the essence of the Zionist regime and putting an end to the realization of greater unity among the Palestinians.

The senior member of Hamas' political bureau Salah al-Bardawil also said the offer to negotiate with the Israeli regime is a failure and it means normalization of relations because no Palestinian is negotiating for his land and his rights.
