Saudi Coalition confirms Tornado pilots captured by Yemeni Armed Forces

Saudi-led Coalition has confirmed that two pilots of its Tornado fighter jet which was shot down by Yemeni Armed Forces have been captured by them.

Iran Press/Middle East: In a statement, Saudi-led Coalition said that the two pilots of the Tornado fighter jet had ejected before the crash.

The spokesman of Yemeni Armed Forces Brigadier General Yahya Sare'e said on Friday night that the Yemeni forces shot down a Tornado fighter jet belonging to the US-Saudi aggression while carrying out hostile missions in the sky of al-Jawf province with a surface-to-air missile (SAM) with new technology.

Military Media of the Yemeni Army and Popular Committees published, Saturday, scenes of the downing of the Tornado aircraft.

Saudi-led Coalition has also asked Yemen’s Army and Popular Committees to treat the pilots under humanitarian and international law.

Earlier, Saudi-led Coalition’s Spokesman Col. Turki Al-Maliki had confirmed that the Tornado aircraft came down on Friday in northern Al-Jawf province during an operation to support the forces of Yemen's fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.
