Iran Press/Asia: Iran's ambassador to Islamabad Mohammad-Ali Hosseini congratulated Pakistan Day to the nation on Monday, saying: "Iran has always supported Pakistan's independence and its people since the beginning of the country's independence and considers it as one of the major Islamic countries."
Hosseini added Muslims in Pakistan have always stood up to the hardships.
Pakistan Day (Yaum-e-Pakistan) or Pakistan Resolution Day, also Republic Day, is a national holiday in Pakistan. It is celebrated on 23 March each year. It is the anniversary of the commemoration of choosing the name "Pakistan" by Choudhary Rahmat Ali.
