Tehran (IP) - Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, in a meeting with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, this Wednesday evening, on behalf of the government and nation of his country, offered condolences to Iranian Leader and nation on the martyrdom of the late President Ebrahim Raisi, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.

Iran PressIran news: In this meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, thanked Qatar for its sympathy in the recent tragic incident and emphasized the necessity of continuing the progress of cooperation between the two countries.

Ayatollah Khamenei called it hard to lose a hardworking president like the martyred Raisi and added: "Despite this loss, the current pathway of the country will not change and the same spirit of interest and trust between Iran and Qatar that prevailed during the late president's term will continue.

Referring to the situation in the region and the efforts of the enemies to shake stability and peace, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran noted that the countries of the region have only one more option, and that is companionship and empathy with each other.

Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, also expressed his condolences on the martyrdom of the late President and his companions, and emphasized: "Iran-Qatar relations have always been strong and this path will continue."

He said that the only way to deal with the threats in the region is the cooperation and cohesion of the countries of the region and added: "Qatar does not set any limits for the expansion of relations with Iran." 219
