Malaysia (IP) - A group of Iranians living in Malaysia celebrated Eid Ghadir Kham.

Iran PressAsia: A group of Iranians living in Malaysia attended the cultural consultation hall of our country in Kuala Lumpur and celebrated the Eid of Imamate and Velayat.

Reciting eulogies and poems, giving a speech, and recitations were among the most important programs of the Eid-al-Ghadir celebration in Malaysia.

Muslims, particularly the Shia community, mark Eid al-Ghadir by celebrating the appointment of Imam Ali (AS), Prophet Mohammad’s cousin and son-in-law as the first imam to lead the Muslim nation.

The occasion is named after the event of Ghadir Khum when Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) introduced Imam Ali (AS) as his successor in a sermon delivered next to Ghadir Khum pond located between Mecca and Medina in 632 CE.
