Palestine (IP) - A delegation consisting of 42 diplomats from Arab and non-Arab countries visited Jericho on Thursday in the West Bank, which was besieged by the Israeli regime 13 days ago.

Iran PressMiddle East: The Israeli siege on Jericho began after the Resistance operation last month, which led to the death of three Zionist settlers.

The regime's troops have taken strict security measures around the city and are monitoring any movement of Palestinians at the Al-Hamra military checkpoint.

The Foreign Ministry of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) called on the diplomatic delegation to inform the world about the sufferings and hardship of the Palestinian citizens and the various forms of collective punishment the Israeli regime is practicing on the people in Jericho.

The Foreign Ministry of the PNA also called for the adoption of effective international stances to pressure the Israeli regime to immediately lift the siege of Jericho.

Arresting, kidnapping, injuring, and killing the Palestinian people, along with destroying their homes and farms has been the daily job of the West-backed Israeli regime since 1948.

Sheikh Khader Adnan, one of the leaders and senior members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement (PIJ), was martyred in the prison of the Israeli regime after 86 days of hunger strike.
