Iran Press/ Iran news: The 24th International Exhibition of Telecommunications, Information Technology, and Digital Economy kicked off today with the presence of 160 local and foreign companies in a space of 22,000 square meters at the permanent location of Tehran International Exhibitions.
Ruhollah Dehghani Firouzabadi, vice president for science and technology added at the opening ceremony of this exhibition: Thanks to the global wave of development of information technologies, the digital economy received attention in the country.
Currently, the digital economy accounts for 15% of the world economy, and in Iran, this number is about 6%.
Dehghani Firouzabadi also said the digital economy is a successful economic experience in the country.
The government and sovereignty chose the method of infrastructure development instead of taking ownership in all matters and became the main factor of development by popular flows, he concluded.
